| You
were given a variety of interesting topics to chose from, but
have willingly chosen to disobey !!!
You
have displayed a tendency . . . to desire that which is not
allowed, and is prohibited.
We
invited you to freely browse through and enjoy any of the
interactive and inspirational Bible games, but you chose to
disobey. This situation is very similar to another incident.
God
created a wonderful paradise and gave it to Adam and Eve. They
could do anything they wanted and eat anything they wanted. The
only rule given to them by God was that they could not eat from
the forbidden tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
However, just as you entered this forbidden area, even after being
asked not to, so also did Adam and Eve eat from the forbidden
tree. They chose to disobey God's warning.
When
Adam disobeyed God, he brought sin into the world. Sin brought a
host of consequences, the most terrible was death. Sin brought
physical and spiritual death into the world and would eternally
separate mankind from God. But Jesus Christ, the Savior, loved us
so much that He died on the cross and paid the penalty for our
sins. He offers each one of us forgiveness from sin and
disobedience. Jesus Christ is the only way to gain forgiveness so
that we can live eternally with God in heaven.
We
must accept His free gift of forgiveness, it cannot be earned. How
do we accept this gift? We believe in Jesus Christ as our savior,
the one through whom we gain access to the Father.
True
faith requires ACTION.
As
you learn more about Jesus, you realize that living in sin and
rebellion only lead you farther away from Him. True faith requires
that we act to change our life, to turn back to God and His Son,
this change of direction in our life, according to God's word, is
called repentance. True repentance brings us to want to share our
faith with others and we lose all fear of shame or rejection to
confess our faith in Jesus as the Son of God. That belief likewise
makes us realize the debt of love we owe. We submit our will
totally to His and are buried with Him in baptism for the
remission of our sins. Then and only then can we say we have
"obeyed" the Gospel.
We
please God when we act in obedience . . . This page has shown you
how easily we can be tempted to disobey . . .
What
will you do now ?
Remember now
your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days
come, and the years draw near when you say,
"I have no pleasure in them":Eccl 12:1(NKJ)
